.....no one's around to see them. we could hang our shoes here in a tree, no one's around to steal them."|
I just returned from a lovely, if slightly boring trip to pullman. Tuesday i drank margaritas with my old roommates. You know mixed drinks are never as good as you expect, but give me a few PBRs in the sun on the front porch and I'm set.
Wednesday i hung out with Jessica and Josh. Their house is adorable and they're so happy. So what is better than that? Jessica and i talked about the School of the Americas, gay marriage, bush, and a certain unexpected heterosexist woman for whom I've lost a tremendous amount of respect.
She also brought up what the bastard minister said at her wedding. I had been really surprised and offended that during the ceremony he had managed to say that a marriage is "only between a man and a woman" twice. It turns out she asked him 3 times before the wedding not to say it. And she nearly stopped him to kick his ass right in the middle but wasn't sure that she had heard him right. So my respect for her is greater than ever and i'm reassured that her convictions are as true and as impressive as always.
So now i'm off to see a room about a red wall.
